How to run Guildwars in Windows mode? - Guild Wars Forums

Every time I open up guild wars in Full screen, it crashes. I need a way to make it open in window mode without getting into the game...any advice?

1. If you can make it into the log-on screen, press the middle button in the top-right corner (2 squares)
2. See if you can edit the default resolution in your GW directory.
3. right click, run-as (any account) on GW
4. Change your desktop resolution
5. eat a cookie

I think if you have a shortcut on your desktop, add -window at the end of the command line. This should work, most games do have this 'command'

Also, if you run Windows XP:

Right click on the GW shortcut

Click the Compalitibility tab

Check the box that says run in 640 x 480
